Nutrition and Physical Degeneration

Nutrition and Physical Degeneration was originally published on 1939 and has a total of 12 editions. The author, Dr. Weston A. Price, DDS, traveled around the world with his wife in search to find healthy people and to discover what their diet was. He went to remote areas in different countries wherein these people only eat indigenous foods but when he later introduced modern foods (white sugar, powdered milk, white flour, canned goods, etc.), signs of physical degeneration became evident.

Dr. Price documented 12 cultures throughout the world in which every individual that belong to that culture had perfect teeth, robust bodies, thick bones and resistance to disease. What these cultures have in common were focus on animal products that were essential for development and health.

I highly recommend having this book to every household. It has been an eye opener which gives you another perspective on how you define the word DIET and NUTRITION. Full credits to Dr. Price and his wife for the depth of knowledge and amount of research they had done for this book.

Imagine that this book has been published for 75 years now and has been rated 4.47 out of 5 stars.

About Dr. Weston A. Price
Dr. Price has been called the “Isaac Newton of Nutrition”. The world has become his laboratory to study isolated human groups. Wherever he went, Dr. Price found that people who have straight teeth and freedom from decay were typical due to their traditional diets that are rich in essential food factors. I could never forget the quote that he wrote on the book dedicated to his nephews and nieces, “I am deeply interested not only in your health individually but in the efficiency and welfare of your families. It is particularly important in these times of industrial and financial stress, that children shall not suffer defects which may mark and handicap them for their entire life." We all can relate to that.
